IVF clinic in Asia - CHA Fertility

Last week I had the privilege of visiting the largest IVF clinic in Asia, CHA Fertility, in Seoul. It was impressive! CHA Fertility offers a one stop shop to deal with infertility issues, including having cancer specialists on tap, as needed. This is quite different to many other clinics, which refer patients to a series of other doctors. At CHA everything is done inhouse, making the whole process a lot easier for wouldbe parents.

CHA Fertility commonly have foreign patients from Mongolia and Russia, amongst other countries.

The size of the clinic says it all as a testament to their commitment to quality and innovation. In the last year they had 110,000 outpatient appointments, and undertook 500 IVF cycles per month, or 6,000 a year.

The clinic was not in the usual sterile walls, but warm and welcoming interiors.

When the dads have to wait, at least it is somewhere pleasant.

Thank you to all the staff at CHA Fertility for making me so welcome, and to Nicky Catakovic from City Fertility Centre, Australia, for putting it all together.

Who is a Parent By Stephen Page

The question sounds simple. Who is a parent? In law, it is anything but simple. Biology matters. Birth matters. Intention matters. Paperwork matters. State law matters. Federal law matters. Posthumous Conception in Victoria: Retrieval, Consent, and the Law

Posthumous conception cases in Victoria sit at the intersection of grief, medicine, and strict statutory rules. They are deeply personal matters, but they are also highly technical. Timing matters. Consent matters. Process matters. And one of the hardest truths for families is that retrieving eggs, sperm, or embryos is often easier than being legally allowed… Read More »Posthumous Conception in Victoria: Retrieval, Consent, and the Law
