Canadian passports office closing affecting surrogacy journeys home

I am advised by clients this morning that Canada’s passports offices have closed.

Whether they will have skeleton staff on, and whether they will be able to process passports for those seeking to take their babies home- I do not know.

It is likely that this will change from day to day, and may change from place to place. It is likely that things will get worse before they get better. If you are an Australian intended parent in Canada- keep checking in person, or through your Canadian lawyer or thorugh your Canadian surrogacy agency.

I will do what I can to help clients get themselves and their babies home.
