Offbeat: Lawschool was never like this for me

The University of Wisconsin Law School has recently cancelled a class which involved bringing in a bunch of sex toys to the classroom.

It was a seminar to be run by a student group called Students for Reproductive Justice, and they wanted to study the law of sex toys, but the reason the class was cancelled was not the obvious one – that bringing sex toys into a classroom was wholly inappropriate – but because it would be seen by the law school as endorsing a commercial product, as the manager of the local sex shop would be in to demonstrate her wares!

And in a purely American twist, the students complained that the cancellation breached their First Amendment rights.
