Good day, everyone. [I’m] Stephen Page from Page Provan Family and Fertility Lawyers. I was recently honoured and privileged, humbled to be appointed as a Director of Access Australia’s Infertility Network. This is a charity that advocates for those who need assisted reproductive treatment, including IVF. It’s been around for quite a while.

Access Australia, as it’s commonly called, helps people through the process to help choose the IVF clinic and give information about what IVF clinic is around, what they offer and what are some of the tips and tricks when undertaking IVF. One of the things that I discovered that clients had told me for many years, but of course, going through your own IVF journey, discovered by the bucket load is it’s a delightful feeling of when you go to the front counter and the woman behind the counter says, “That’ll be $3,000, Mr Page,” and you immediately think, “Am I going to faint? Do I actually have enough? When am I going to pay that back? Have I got it on my card?” And then you go through the brain, of course, all seemingly remaining calm at this moment thinking, “Yes, it’ll probably take forever to pay off. But anyway, I do have it on the card. What’s my PIN number now?” I know that’s a really simple transaction that I’ve explained, but it’s just a simple thing.

Some clinics bulk bill, some full freight, you’ve got to pay the lot whether you like it or not, and some bulk bill for some things and pay for others.

So Access Australia, as I said, has been around for a long time. It plays this critical role and one of the things that it helped do is set up a website and this is in conjunction between the Fertility Society of Australia, New Zealand and the Australian Government.

yourivfsuccess.com.au. I suggest go and have a look at it if you want to know more about which IVF clinics are around and what they offer, what their success rates are. Go and look, I’ll talk about success rates in another video. But anyway, go and have a look at yourivfsuccess.com.au. Thank you.

3 Countries You Should Never Use for Surrogacy

When intended parents consider international surrogacy, the legal and ethical landscape can be treacherous. One government has taken a blunt but pragmatic approach: rather than issuing a blanket prohibition on overseas commercial surrogacy, it has published a short list of specific countries where surrogacy arrangements will almost certainly jeopardise a child’s legal status. That list… Read More »3 Countries You Should Never Use for Surrogacy

Self-Represented Litigant in Family Court Australia: What You NEED to Know First

Representing yourself in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia is increasingly common.
