New booklet on Immigration Law and Domestic Violence

A new booklet has been published on how domestic violence provisions operate under Australian immigration law. The NSW Immigration Advice and Rights Centre Inc. produced the booklet which can be downloaded free of charge from here. The booklet is in plain English and is available in several languages, through funding from the Office for Women’s Policy in the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The booklet is thorough and well researched, and is an excellent how-to guide for those who have been subject to family or domestic violence and is fearful that they have to leave Australia because their relationship has ended (and their partner has made threats to have them deported).
