Qld election: LGBT Election Forum: Wednesday night

Meet the candidates and hear their positions on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues at a special LGBT community Election Forum tomorrow night, 18th March.

The forum, stating at 6:30pm sharp at the Sportsman Hotel in Spring Hill, Brisbane will bring together candidates in the electorate of Brisbane Central. Grace Grace, sitting member for the Australian Labor Party and Mark Wood, candidate for the Liberal National Party will be speaking about their positions and answering your questions. (No response to the invitation has been received from the Greens candidate to date).

Rod Goodbun from ARCQ (Action Reform Change Queensland) will host the event. The forum is being organised by the ‘Queer Coalition’, a Brisbane-based network of groups and individuals working to promote LGBT rights. Queer Coalition meets at 6pm on the second Wednesday of each month at the offices of QAHC, 30 Helen Street, Newstead.
