Transcript

Today I want to talk to you about “What do I need to prove to get a divorce?”

Firstly, one must be separated for twelve months before an application for divorce can be filed. However, the court needs to be satisfied that the marriage has broken down irretrievably so that the court can then grant a divorce order once the application has been filed.

Not only does one need to file an application, but also serve the application on the other party and provide evidence of that to court so that the court is aware that the other party has been served with your application.

If we can therefore assist you with your application for divorce, please do not hesitate to contact us at Page Provan.
